Temple authorities have announced the official Yamunotri opening date for 2026. The Yamunotri Temple gates will open on 30 April 2026 in the morning. This sacred event will be celebrated with devotion by pilgrims. The Yamunotri Temple Committee (YTC) fixed this date after Panchang calculations on Maha Shivratri.
Closing of Yamunotri Temple in 2026 will be around Diwali. The official temple authorities will announce the final closing day later. You can see Yamunotri in Chardham Yatra by helicopter or do dham helicopter yatra.
The official Yamunotri opening date for 2026 is not declared yet. The YTC will announce it on Maha Shivratri, which falls on 15 February 2026. Once declared, the exact opening time will also be shared. In past years, Yamunotri Temple generally opens just after Akshaya Tritiya. In 2026, Akshaya Tritiya falls on 19 April, so the Yamunotri opening window will likely be from late April to early May 2026.
YTC will announce the official dates for 2026, and pilgrims should wait for confirmation before booking travel and accommodation.
