Uttar Pradesh – Ayodhya is ready to stun the world again. On October 19, 2025, the city will try to beat its own record by lighting over 26 lakh diyas along the Saryu River as this is the night before Diwali. The main show of Ayodhya Deepotsav 2025 will be at Ram Ki Paidi.
Why you must watch: 56 ghats will glow at once. Workers are marking each block and making safe 2.5-foot paths so people can walk. The aim is to top last year’s 25,12,585 diyas and set a new world record.
Big extras: A 10-minute green fireworks show will light up the sky. It will be made to keep the air clean. Music and light effects will run with the lamps for a dramatic scene.
Who is running it: Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University is in charge. Prof. Sant Sharan Mishra says the marking and cleaning work is on now. Dr. Ranjan Singh leads the marking team.
To power the night, organizers are signing up 30,000 volunteers to place diyas, guide crowds, and keep the area clean. Local potters are busy making earthen lamps.
