Red Carpet Welcome for Mauritius PM at Ram Mandir

Ayodhya: Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam on Friday offered prayers at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. He was joined by his wife Veena Ramgoolam and a 30-member team.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed him at the temple as A red carpet was laid out. Priests performed kalash aarti as Vedic chants echoed. Drums, nagadas and the sound of the shankh filled the air. Flowers were showered on the visiting leader.

Ramgoolam spent close to half an hour inside the temple. He prayed at the sanctum and later reviewed the ongoing construction work then Officials gave him updates on the project.

The road from the airport to the temple was decorated with flowers, banners and welcome posters and People lined up to see the grand welcome.

The visit was described as a moment of pride. Officials said it showed the deep cultural bond between India and Mauritius and gave global recognition to Ayodhya.
