Unbelievable Goat Ritual at 2600 Year Old Temple during Navratri

Bihar – A temple older than most cities is pulling record crowds this Navratri — and not because of what you think.

Devotees are flocking to the Maa Mundeshwari Temple in Bihar, where priests perform a goat sacrifice that sounds violent but isn’t—the goat walks away alive.

What Actually Happens

Devotees bring goats after their wishes come true. The priests place the animal before the goddess, and it goes still as if fainting. Later, they revive it with rice and flower petals. No blood. No killing. The goat returns home with its owner.

Priest Munna Dwivedi says the practice has been followed for centuries. “Rice and flowers replace blades. Faith brings people here,” he said. These unique Navratri temple rituals are unlike any other.

Devotees Swear It Works

Visitors from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar say the temple gave them peace and fulfilled their wishes. Many promise to return every Navratri with an offering.

Massive Crowd, Tight Security

Authorities have:

  • Installed 25 CCTV cameras
  • Deployed police and Scouts & Guides
  • Set up crowd control for the festive rush

Why It’s Going Viral

An octagonal temple atop Pawra Hill, a “sacrifice” where nothing is killed, and millions lining up for blessings — the story has all the clicks.

People believe starting any new work after visiting this temple brings luck. And with Navratri in full swing, the rush isn’t slowing down.
