Kota, Rajasthan: Kota Dussehra 2025 is making headlines as workers erected a 215-foot tall Ravana statue in just seven hours on Monday night. The massive statue is set to break the world record. It is already creating a buzz among visitors and social media users.
Two jumbo cranes, a JCB, and a team of 100 skilled workers made this record-breaking feat possible. Unlike previous years, new techniques made the process faster and safer. MS pipes were used instead of bamboo, making the statue lighter and easier to lift. Six steel ropes tied to a cemented foundation keep it stable, even in strong winds.
World Record in the Making
The Asia Book of World Records and India Book of World Records will officially record the statue, as it surpasses Delhi’s 210-foot Ravana. On Dussehra day, representatives will measure the statue and hand over the certificate, confirming it as the tallest Ravana statue in the world.
Special Features of the Ravana Statue
- Fiberglass face with a 25-foot long mustache
- Crown 60 feet tall with colorful LED lights
- Sword 50 feet, shoes 40 feet
- Remote control with 25-point fittings for the grand burning ceremony
Workers also erected the 60-foot tall Kumbhakarna and Meghanad statues alongside Ravana. The total cost of all three statues was 44 lakh rupees.
Safe and Smooth Setup
Mela committee president Vivek Rajwanshi and officer Ashok Tyagi performed the land worship ceremony before the lift. Craftsman Rana Tejinder Singh Chauhan supervised the construction. By 10 PM, the giant Ravana statue stood tall with all supports removed, ready for the celebrations.
Officials, including SE Mahesh Goyal and six AENs, were on site to ensure the process went smoothly. Modern techniques eliminated the risks and delays common in earlier years, allowing workers to set up the statue smoothly.
With bright lights, colorful decorations, and a towering Ravana statue, Kota Dussehra 2025 promises to be a spectacular experience for thousands of visitors. Witness history in the making—seize the chance!
