Ujjain – Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain has banned all fireworks this Mahakal Diwali. The temple management said only one sparkler will be lit during each aarti. While crackers, anars, and other flammable items are strictly banned.
Temple Deputy Administrator Ashish Phulwadia said lakhs of devotees visit on Diwali, and the ban is for safety and to prevent fire accidents. The rule will apply across the sanctum sanctorum, Kotitirth Kund, Mahakal Lok corridor, and full temple complex.
Security staff will keep strict watch, and action will be taken against rule breakers. The committee has appealed to devotees to celebrate peacefully and maintain the temple’s dignity.
This year, Mahakal Temple Diwali will shine with diyas, chants, and one symbolic sparkler – but no fireworks.
