Good news for all Kedarnath Yatra pilgrims! A new road is coming up to Toshi village in Rudraprayag. Soon, the walk from Triyuginarayan to Kedarnath will drop from 23 km to just 17 km.
Villagers are very happy. Over 400 people will now save the long 6 km walk to reach the main road. The cutting work is done, and the bridge at Sonagar is under construction. Even before it is ready, small vehicles may pass during winter.
This old path has history as Pilgrims used it in the 19th century, and it helped thousands during the 2013 floods.
Locals welcomed the machines with prayers and sweets. Leaders say this road will make travel easier, safer, and life better for the village.
Now the Kedarnath Yatra is shorter and simpler, making the holy journey easier for everyone!
